OHV Route Designation Process Begins
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is continuing its OHV Route Designation Process. Sharon Heywood, Shasta-Trinity Forest Supervisor stated during the meeting in Redding, "OHV Recreation is a legitimate use of the public forest." It is important that ALL HIGH to LOW use roads and trails are designated to remain OPEN!. OHV user involvement is strongly encouraged in hopes that the entire system inventoried stays OPEN for use at all times with no further closures. Shasta-Trinity Forest OHV Route Designation progress and volunteer site. Each of the forests in Northern California has commenced this process. Some have posted great information to help in volunteer efforts. If you ride in these forests it is up to you to comment and submit your trails to remain open. |
