Click on the pic to see the larger slide. BAJA 2003 was a huge success! We never saw the thermometer go over 82 degrees and none of us had ever eaten so well. Lobster and shrimp were the foods of choice and "No Mas" was uttered more than once, (regarding food AND drink). The local people treated us all very well as we rode through their towns and beaches. After spending much time boogie boarding, swimming and gathering shells, we rode on beaches that, as far as you could see in any direction, were absent of any sign of life. Dogs greeted us at every household and we can now tell you where every gas station is as well as every beer stop. (with Tecate being the obvious local choice as well as often the only choice.) Little Ram Parker and Stevie Cortopassi tried many new foods ranging from snails to shredded Manta Ray, while the adults learned all the local cures for having a bit to much fun. A day and a half was spent in Ensenada gathering souvenirs for the folks back home and relaxing in a "higher" end hotel than we had used in the desert. Plans are already in the works for the trip next year, always a sign of a successful trip
